Purpose of the Site

This is a private reference guide, not an official record system. It stores no official jail or court records and cannot verify a person’s custody, release a person, or file documents with a public agency.

Its pages point visitors toward records resources relating to Sussex County and may connect visitors with independent research tools. A public-record request to a Virginia government custodian follows the applicable Virginia Freedom of Information Act process, including Va. Code § 2.2-3704, not a request to this site.

Acceptable Use

• Use the site only in compliance with applicable law.
• Do not use information from the site to stalk, harass, threaten, or harm another person.

Sussex County Busted Mugshots is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not prepare background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports, and neither the site nor its advertising partners supplies screening services. By using the site, you agree not to use its information for any FCRA-covered purpose, including:

• Hiring, firing, promotion, or other employment decisions.
• Tenant, housing, or lodging screening.
• Creditworthiness decisions or insurance underwriting and premiums.
• Licenses, permits, or eligibility for a government program.
• Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA.
